It's Kagaku-kun -- that huge fan of Ishikawa Rika-chan who used to be on Utaban all the time
[note: "Kagaku-kun" (科学くん) is a nickname ('kagaku' means "science") for, apparently, an assistant producer on Utaban named Suzuki who was famous for his love/adoration of Ishikawa Rika]

Nakai wont do the show anymore? I was wondering what happened to Utaban. That was the best show ever with morning musume. I miss the seating battles.

Translators: thank you so much for this... also, I love it how you write in how they use the Japanese characters to make puns and colloquial expressions... the explanations for that are so cool. ☆☆
@boinsie: Because he's not in any of her photos, or...? (I was just thinking that possibly, for whatever reason, she didn't/couldn't post a picture of/with him, perhaps? But I dunno, really...)
@Kate: Glad to hear it ^^ I try to make a note about stuff that *I* would like to know if I were reading it (cool stuff like puns, or where the language seems ambiguous, or explanations for Japanese foods or stuffs that I or other people might not be familiar with, etc.), so I'm glad that other people are finding these notes useful/interesting ^^
