When I was playing with Noa............











she bit me.........

Right now I'm in the middle of making dinner





First, because we had some yellowtail in the freezer, I'm boiling that together with some daikonす












And since we also had some spinach...











right now I'm trying to think of how to prepare it...




And




in the meantime, I have these, which Noa's daddy brought back with him from work.........











Some really big scallops



I'm thinking that I'll sauté them in butter




Then,



I wondered what I should do with the mantle and the roe and the ovaries from the scallops...





So I called my mother-in-law, and she told me...




"If you make takikomi gohan (rice cooked with various meats/fish/vegetables) with them, it's really tasty"





...and so right away...











I got it started simmering





And when the flavor had really sunk in...











it was time for that and the rice to GO together into the rice cooker





Now all I've gotta do is wait





I'm looking forward to it~
