Today for lunch, my mom brought obentou that she'd made for all of us

TA-DA!

It's been a long time since I'd last eaten an obentou that my mom made

It looks like she worked really hard on it this morning

The nostalgic taste of sweet tamagoyaki (a kind of layered, rectangular omelet)

The spicy kinpira (a kind of sautéed and simmered veggies/toufu/seaweed/etc. dish)

The garlic-flavored karaage (deep-fried chicken, usually)

It was really nostalgic

And Noa and my nephew's onigiri (rice balls)...

TA-DA!

were Ultraman onigiri~!

They both ate them really happily

I've said it countless times before, but I really think that lunch is delicious when you eat it outside

And it had the wonderful nostalgic taste of my mother's cooking

Just like mom used to make

[note: she uses a different word for "mother/mom" here -- 'ofukuro' -- which has a sort-of nostalgic, "dear mother" kind of connotation to it]
...y'know?

I ended up nice and full

It was so tasty

Mom...

Gochisousama deshita

Well, after this one about our obentou, what will the next volume be, I wonder~~~

Stay tuned~

The Ultraman cutout kills me, man... XD
I know, right? I kinda wonder whether she made them by hand, or whether it's from some sort of seaweed cutout-making tool...
