Now I would like to present to you the souvenir gifts I bought yesterday in Kagoshima~~
First,
because Kagoshima is famous for kurobuta (a breed of Berkshire pig),
Buta no kakuni (simmered pork cubes)
and
Maguro (tuna) ramen
Eh?
It is maguro ramen,
right?
[note: that part of the package is cut off, but it looks like this ramen also contains buta no kakuni]
This was crazy delicious
So I bought three
I'll give them to my mom friends
I also got
Ika mentai (squid with spicy pollock roe)
and
Satsuma-age (a kind of fried fish cake from Kagoshima)
He really loves these
They're the perfect little side diiiiish
And,
Mentaiko (spicy pollock roe) flavored Jagariko
[note: Jagariko is a light, crunchy Japanese snack food]
and, and,
TA-DA!
Sweet potatoes
These are for Non and Noa
By the way, if you heat these up in the stove and eat them with vanilla ice cream...
I think they're just SUPER tasty
Totally awesome
It's even completely OK to use normal sweet potatoes that you make at home and eat those with the ice cream, so you guys should definitely, definitely give it a try, okay?
A dish fit for a king~!
[note: the expression in Japanese is 頬っぺたが落ちる, which is literally "(so delicious that) your cheeks will fall off"]
Well, and
I'm heading out to work now
After our staff meeting, I'm going to be filming a TV show
Alrighty, then...
I'm off~~
