I'm still only partway through making it, but...
I boiled some kanpyou (dried gourd shavings)...
made some sushi rice ('sumeshi,' rice with vinegar),
and rolled it up...
I took some takuan (pickled daikon), too,
and rolled it up...
And some nattou, too,
and rolled it up...
And this one was a bit of an adventure...
I even took some sausage and tried rolling it up...
I didn't use sushi rice for this one
I'm really looking forward to eating it
I wanted to do tekkamaki (small sushi roll with tuna in it) or something too, but we didn't have the stuff in the refridgerator...so I had to give that one up
And then...
Karaage (deep-fried meat, usually chicken)
and some other stuff that I made but forgot to take pictures of

Well, he's going to be home really soon
I wonder if I'll be able to pull off this surprise thing okay~~~
