While Noa is sleeping, Mom and I are getting dinner ready




We take these vegetables...
Carrots
Shiitake
Kanpyou (dried gourd shavings)
Aburaage (deep-fried toufu)
and chop them up


We take some
Renkon (lotus root)
and cut it into thin slices



Then,
we put all these ingredients into a pan, with some
Soy sauce
Saké
Mirin (a sweet cooking saké)
Sugar
Dashi soup stock
and let it all simmer



So, what do you think we're making with this?

added for seasoning
