Today
I went to go shopping, but...
Could these be peach blossoms~??
I found them~~~
Because today is the Hina Matsuri, this made me really, really happy
[note: the flower has strong associations with the holiday -- another name for it is 'Momo no Sekku' "Peach Festival" -- however, they don't often bloom at this time of year]
And today, I discovered something else here
Baskin-Robbins
[note: it's known in Japan as "Thirty-one Ice Cream"; Tsuji calls it "Thirty-one" here]
And when it comes to Baskin-Robbins...
there's this~!
Hina Matsuri doll ice cream
Cute, huh?
the Emperor
and
the Empress
They're really adorable
I chose flavors that I liked for the ice cream
And so,
for the Emperor,
Cookies & Cream
and
for the Empress,
Strawberry
is what I decided~~~
[note: probably intentionally, the flavors she chose also end up being two out of the three colors (pink, green, and white) strongly associated with this holiday]
It seemed almost a shame to eat them
But...
I did really enjoy eating them~~~
Heeheeheeheeehee~~~
