Good morning!Lunch today looked like this~~
TA-DA!
Morioka reimen[note: a cold noodle (aka 'reimen') dish, originally from Korea, and one of the specialties of Morioka, in Iwate Prefecture; besides the buckwheat noodles, typical ingredients include pork, egg, fresh veggies, melon, and kimchi]

The ingredients I used were
Boiled eggShrimpKimchiCucumberI've loved reimen for practically forever
Before when I was going through a period of reimen obsession, I once...
ordered 60 packets of it online at one time
Pretty amazing, huh?
Well, these things happen
That's how much I love reimen
And
I think some of you may have noticed already, but........................
into the reimen today, I put
these cucumbers!
TA-DA!
They're
heart and ☆star☆ shaped!!Before I sliced them up, the cucumbers looked like this
They look like normal cucumbers
However!
When you slice them open..........................................

They're crazy cute
The staff-san from the show I was on yesterday gave them to me
Thank you so much!
I wasted no time in enjoying them

I'm going to a TV meeting, and afterwards I'll be heading down for TV show filming
I'm going to enjoy myself again today,
as I go out and work hard!

I really want to know how those cucumbers were grown
@Mary K - They were grown in star- and heart-shaped tubes. See here for some other differently shaped Japanese produce~ <3
And how convenient...now she doesn't have to use the vegetable cutout tools~
Except that I don't think we've ever actually seen her use a cucumber prior to this... XD
You can just shut your face! XD
But no, yeah, it seems (based on my quick site search for "cucumber") that she has used them a couple of times, but you're right, not cut into cute shapes... m(_ _)m
But she *could* use them instead of the cutout carrots or whatever! XD
But see then she wouldnt have the outside layers still on the cucumber cutout XD Its got a cute shaped outline on it now~! Plus carrots are much easier to use cutouts on, trust me XD
