I've got work from a little after 6 pm, so we're having a slightly early dinner tonight




I'm in the middle of making it right now




Since we had some in the house...


I started by dicing up some onion

and sautéing it~~





Then,

I added in toufu and ground meat, and mixed it all together...





That's right!

I'm making






Then,

I make the sauce





I sauté some different kinds of mushrooms,


add the seasoning,

and let it all thicken


And then next,

using the vegetables that were in the crisper,


I decided to make soboro chikuzenni (a simmered chicken and vegetable dish [see here], here made with ground chicken)





We didn't have any regular chicken, so I tried making it using ground chicken




And

I took the leftover renkon (lotus root)

and sautéed it...





along with some mentaiko (spicy pollock roe), to make...







And then,

I boiled some spinach


to make ohitashi (a dish of boiled then chilled veggies, served with soy sauce)~~




Well,

I'm a bit rushed right now

I've gotta finish making dinner, eat, and then go





Gotta hurry~











And fry up the hamburg
