Today for breakfast,

since it's been a while,

my husband and I are having an omelet-making showdown!!

Yay!

First, we prepare the ingredients to put inside~~

Looks like this

which are all sautéed

And we prepare

also

Next is the main ingredient -- the eggs

These are the much talked-about

[note: see previous post for more info]

Look, look,

even when you pick up the yolks with chopsticks,

they don't break!

Isn't that just incredible?

They're nice, plump little eggs

We thought we'd use these plump kodawari tamago to make omelets

First,

you add the desired fillings in with the eggs

Non, by the way, put some of everything in

Once you put in the ingredients, mix everything up together

And then

heat up a frying pan with some oil or butter in it.........

Non chose oil

And

once the frying pan is nice and hot, you pour in the egg mixture

Then, wait as it forms up nicely,

and once it's looking good, slide it off the frying pan onto a plate

Look, look,

It's a bit burned, but it turned out looking pretty nice

And then,

I draw on the omelet with ketchup...

What do you think?

Do you think it came out well?

The inside was really nice too -- the cheese all melty and the eggs a nice, soft-boiled consistency...

It ended up being really tasty

I'm so glad

But I think his omelet might look better...it was bursting with fillings, but it wasn't burned at all

As far as appearance goes...I guess I lost...

But he told me that mine won in the taste department

That made me so happy

And for Noa-tan's omelet...............

I made it with.........

toufu, potatoes, and carrots

TA-DA!

I drew a smiley face on her omelet

Cute, huh?

We all enjoyed a really wonderful meal together

It was delicious
