At lunch today I really chowed down and ate a bit too much, so I'm still not all that hungry
And so~~ tonight it's gong to be a healthy, veggie-full dinner
First, because we had squid left over from yesterday,
I put some daikon in with the water I used to rinse the rice and let it boil down, with...
Soy sauce
Saké
Mirin (sweet cooking saké)
Dashi soup stock
Sugar
added for seasoning~~~
[note: judging from this picture, the leftover squid she mentioned earlier seems to come in at this step, although she doesn't actually mention it]
And, one more dish...
from these ingredients~
Carrots
Pork
Bok choy (aka Chinese cabbage)
Kamaboko (steamed fish paste)
Quail eggs
Green beans
Shiitake
plus this guy:
Onion
For this dish, I'm going to use these eight ingredients
First,
I sauté the pork,
then add in the onion,
put in the bok choy and the shiitake,
and then try adding in some soy sauce, salt, pepper, Chinese MSG, soup stock from chicken bones, oyster sauce...
Yeah, I just kinda go with my gut and measure by eye, taste-testing as I go
Then, I put in the remaining ingredients in and let it all boil down......
so it thickens up
What am I making, do you think~~~
You can probably tell already, huh...
A bit later you can see it finished~~
So stay tuned~
