Everyone,
Good morning!
Okay, so,
last night for dinner I made
Toufu & shrimp shuumai (a kind of dumpling)
The recipe for this dish was sent in by one of the viewers of Kizuna Shokudou
To the person who contributed the recipe, thank you very much!
And now, I would like to introduce this recipe for toufu & shrimp shuumai to all of you~~
First,
you take shrimp
and pound and mash them until it looks something like this~~
Then,
take some firm ("cotton") toufu and press and drain it to remove the excess liquid,
and then mix together the drained toufu and mashed shrimp
At this point, add in
salt and pepper
soy sauce
sesame oil
potato starch
and mix it all together
Then
slice the shuumai skins into thin strips
Like this~
Once you've done that, form bite-sized balls out of the toufu and shrimp mixture you made earlier,
and coat these with the sliced-up skins
After that, you steam them~~
At our house, we put a layer of cabbage on the bottom and steam the shuumai on top of that~~
Then afterwards you can eat the cabbage, too, y'see~~
And when they're all done...
TA-DA!
they look like this~~
This is a really simple, delicious, and crazy healthy dish, so I absolutely recommend it!!
You guys
should definitely try making it sometime~~
And that's all
for the toufu & shrimp shuumai recipe
~~
Well,
I've got the day off again today
I wonder what to do~
