>After I put Noa-tan down for her nap earlier...
not even 5 minutes had gone by......
when I heard, "Wa~nna~

Wa~nna~
"............
[note: what she calls out is 'taa~iii~, taa~iii~'; this is my best guess as to a translation ('-tai' is a verb ending that means "want to ~"), although it's a bit unclear to me what Noa would mean by it in this context]
She was awake and full of energy.........

Hmm
...things don't seem to be going quite according to plan.........

But I guess this means we'll be going to sleep a little earlier tonight, huh~

And then, Daddy came home

[note: Noa's daddy, that is]
So I took the opportunity to get dinner started~~~

As for tonight's menu.........

I'm making one dish using the firm ("cotton") toufu we had in the refrigerator and a little ground meat that we had in the freezer

I chop up some onion,

sauté it,

then drain the excess water from the toufu,

and also chop up some renkon (lotus root),

put everything together in a bowl...and mix well

Next I add in a bit of ground meat,

along with an egg, milk, panko (a variety of breadcrumb), salt, pepper, potato starch, and then mix it all some more

After that, I mold it into shape......

and fry it up~~

That's right!

Tonight we had toufu-renkon hamburg (Salisbury steak)

It's about 90% toufu

So it's healthy, y'see?

And besides that, I also made a boiled dish with kouya doufu (freeze-dried toufu)
and today, once again, we had............

nattou!

But this time it was nattou + takuan (pickled daikon) + okra + egg yolks + green onion~~~

to be rolled up in nori (seaweed used in sushi) and eaten like that~~

Fantastic!!

And in addition, there was a broccoli and tomato salad~~

and, miso soup
And Noa-san's dinner was......
TA
DA!
Udo
n!

with "onion, carrot, spinach, and shirasu (baby sardines)
"
in it too

We enjoyed a delicious dinner again tonight~~
o(^-^)o

Gochisousama deshita~~

And I stocked up on ice cream today, so for dessert.........

Heeheehee
